What happened after Hotel Hell?
Gordon Ramsay visited the Historic Calumet Inn in Pipestone, Minnesota, for Hotel Hell season 2, episode 5, "Calumet Inn," which aired 2014-08-18. The three-story Richardsonian Romanesque hotel, built of local pink jasper quartzite after an 1886 fire destroyed its predecessor, anchors Pipestone's historic downtown district, according to Wikipedia (revised 2026-09-02). Ramsay's visit addressed the independent inn's operations and hospitality standards, the pattern the series follows with struggling family-run hotels. The inn's own website, calumetinn.com, still describes 38 guest rooms, a dining room, a lounge, a pub, and a gift shop, and says the current owners took over the property in September 1993, but the page carries no dates or copyright year, so it cannot establish current operating status on its own.
Yelp's business listing for the Historic Calumet Inn marked the property CLOSED in an update dated July 2026. A booking aggregator, HotelsCombined, showed a FAQ page updated 2026-08-26 with a working phone number listed, but did not confirm the inn was accepting guests. RealityTVUpdates reported that the inn closed in a May 2022 dispute with the Pipestone city government. No fresher, dated source shows the inn actively operating in 2026.
