What happened after Hotel Hell?

Gordon Ramsay visited the Four Seasons Inn on Vermont Route 100 in West Dover, Vermont, for Hotel Hell season 2, episode 6, which aired 2014-08-25. The small roadside inn, run by owner Sandy, struggled with outdated rooms and inconsistent bookings, the recurring situation Ramsay's visits in the series are built around. According to RealityTVUpdates, the property was renamed Layla's Riverside Lodge after the episode, honoring a dog used to promote the inn's pet-friendly policy. RealityTVUpdates and Paulton.co.za reported that the dog, Layla, died in September 2021, and that Layla's Riverside Lodge closed in June 2022 after Sandy sold the property.

In 2023 new owners Natalie and Julian Dion opened the Sugar Maple Inn, a different inn, on the property, according to Paulton.co.za and the Bennington Banner. A Yelp listing for Layla's Riverside Lodge at 145 Route 100 was marked CLOSED, updated June 2026, consistent with the reported June 2022 closure. The Sugar Maple Inn's own website could not be located to confirm operations after its 2023 opening; a guessed domain, sugarmapleinnvt.com, does not resolve. U.S. Census geocoding returned no match for the Route 100/VT-100 address given in third-party listings, so coordinates are left pending rather than estimated.
