What happened after Hotel Hell?
Meson De Mesilla in Las Cruces, New Mexico, was the property featured in Hotel Hell's season-two premiere, which aired 2014-07-21, when the hotel was owned by Cali Szczawinski, according to KLAQ. The property was sold to a new owner in March 2017 and renamed Hacienda de Mesilla, according to HotelsPedia's listing for the hotel, which identifies the property as the former Meson de Mesilla. KLAQ reported that the new ownership chose the new name partly to distance the property from its Hotel Hell appearance. KFOX14 separately reported that the rebrand followed the change in ownership, in coverage describing the business as still affected by its reality-show history.
The renamed Hacienda de Mesilla operates at 1891 Avenida de Mesilla in the village of Mesilla, adjacent to Las Cruces, with a Google Places business status of operational. Its website, haciendademesilla.com, returned HTTP 200 when checked 2026-09-09 and listed current operating hours, including 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Fridays, along with pages for hotel bookings and amenities, menus, a happy-hour program, special events, and a photo gallery. The site brands the property a 'Hotel • Grille • Cantina' and includes hashtags referencing steak-and-seafood dining and boutique-hotel branding. The current Mesilla address sits just outside Las Cruces proper, in the same historic plaza district referenced in the episode's original location listing.
