What happened after Man v. Food?

Man v. Food's fifth season visited the Cartopia food-cart pod in Portland's Buckman neighborhood, where Chicken and Guns served wood-fired whole chicken rubbed with Latin spices alongside its signature "guns" -- baked-then-fried potatoes finished with lemon, oil, and aji sauce. The cart partnered with the Title Bout restaurant group in 2017 and was using roughly 750 chickens a week around the time of filming, according to Willamette Week. Willamette Week named it a food cart of the year in 2016, and Eater Portland included the dish among the city's chicken-and-jojo standouts in a 2021 roundup. Co-owner Dustin Knox opened a brick-and-mortar location, Smokehouse Chicken and Guns, in Gales Creek, Oregon, in 2023, according to Willamette Week. KPTV reported that Knox announced in December 2025 that the original Cartopia cart would close December 28, 2025, so the business could concentrate on the Gales Creek restaurant.
