What happened after Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives?
Part 1 — Season 16, Episode 3 Aired
Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives visited this Outer Banks seafood spot on the December 24, 2012 episode "Far Out," spotlighting fresh local seafood and steak plates served in a casual beachside dining room. The restaurant sits on Duck Road in the village of Duck on North Carolina's northern Outer Banks. According to a Yelp business page updated 2026-06, the establishment at that same 1209 Duck Road address now operates as Coastal Cravings, with 953 accumulated reviews. A Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives locations page, updated 2025-03, lists that Coastal Cravings listing as the site of this same episode, tying the current business to the original television appearance.
No source located specifies exactly when or why the name changed. A separate business, Cravings Steaks & Seafood Restaurant, also operates in Duck under a similar name at a different address, and should not be confused with the Coastal Cravings listing tied to this episode.
Part 2 — Season 27, Episode 4 Aired
On Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives (Food Network), this appearance in the "Fun in the Sun" episode, which aired 2017-07-28, revisited the restaurant then known as Coastal Cravings in Duck, North Carolina, on the Outer Banks. According to Flavortownusa's episode guide, Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives first visited the restaurant in December 2012, when Guy Fieri sampled dishes including coriander-crusted halibut, seared scallops finished with lobster sauce and truffle oil, and slow-roasted, all-natural prime rib. The restaurant, originally attached to a gas station at 1209 Duck Road, later converted to full service with a full bar and outdoor dining and began offering raw seafood pots that customers take home and steam themselves, per the same source, and now operates under the name Cravings Steaks & Seafood, according to its own website, cravingsobx.com.
