What happened after Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives?

Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives featured this Fort Greene barbecue restaurant on the same January 7, 2013 episode, "Matches Made in Heaven," highlighting wood-smoked ribs, brisket, and other Southern sides cooked over an on-site smoker. The restaurant opened in 2006 on South Elliott Place in Brooklyn's Fort Greene neighborhood, becoming one of the borough's early wood-fired barbecue spots and building a following over more than a decade in business. According to nycbbq.com, published 2018-10-26, the restaurant was among only a handful of wood-fired barbecue spots operating anywhere in New York City when it opened, and it closed that week after twelve years in business, ending its run at the South Elliott Place location. A Yelp business page for the address, updated 2026-07, still marks the restaurant as permanently closed.
