What happened after Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives?
On the July 2012 Coast to Coast Chow episode of Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, Guy Fieri sat down at this Charleston bakery and cafe for its scratch-made Southern breakfast plates, including cheese grits, sweet potato cornbread, and other homestyle sides prepared each morning in-house. The cafe operated in Charleston's historic French Quarter at 62 State Street after opening in 2008, building a loyal local following for its breakfast and lunch menu in a small storefront setting. According to the Charleston City Paper, the cafe closed in early January 2017 following the death of its owner. Yelp's page for the business remains marked permanently closed, corroborating the City Paper's report. No successor business or reopening at the State Street address has been reported since the closure.
