What happened after Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives? 2 episodes

Part 1 — Season 18, Episode 5 Aired

Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives featured Frank's Noodle House during the 'Aces of Authenticity' episode (aired 2013-10-21), spotlighting the Northeast Portland restaurant's Chinese noodle dishes. The restaurant sits at 822 NE Broadway. According to Wikipedia (revised 2026-07-15), Frank's Noodle House later expanded to a second location in Beaverton, and a third location opened in Portland's Pearl District in 2025. A page identifying itself as an unofficial Frank's Noodle House website, checked 2026-09-08, listed the same 822 NE Broadway address and phone number and posted Saturday hours of 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM, noting the restaurant does not offer delivery. The 2025 Pearl District opening described by Wikipedia points to an actively expanding small chain built around the original Broadway location.

Part 2 — Season 24, Episode 6 Aired

In the 'Comfort Food Mash-Up' episode, which aired 2016-02-03, Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives revisited Frank's Noodle House in Portland for its hand-pulled Lanzhou-style noodles and biangbiang noodles, made fresh in house. The Chinese restaurant operates from a converted house near the Lloyd Center on Northeast Broadway, serving noodle dishes, curry noodles, and appetizers alongside kimchi. According to a KFFM recap of the segment, Guy Fieri learned to hand-pull noodles from scratch during the original visit that led to this comfort-food-themed return.
