What happened after Bar Rescue?
Havana Haven opened in Powder Springs, Georgia, in 2024, built by a divorced couple who hoped to give residents a lively neighborhood destination so they would not have to drive into Atlanta for a night out. According to The Cinemaholic, the couple's original Cuban-themed concept had not found a steady following in the time before Jon Taffer's visit. Bar Rescue's "Havana Rough Time" was filmed there and later aired on 2026-05-03. Jon Taffer rebranded the venue as Bimini Bay Island Bar & Grille, shifting it to an island theme, according to The Cinemaholic (2026-05-07).
For a period afterward, the relaunched bar was active: The Cinemaholic reported that by June 2025 the venue was promoting line-dancing nights hosted by DJ Reggie Reg and had launched Karaoke Thursdays. That activity did not continue. Reality TV Updates (2026-05-03) and The Cinemaholic (2026-05-07) both reported that Bimini Bay stopped posting to its social media accounts around October 2025 and that Google listings for the business now mark it permanently closed. Reality TV Updates put the closure roughly four months after Taffer's rescue visit and noted it came without any public announcement from the owners.
The Cinemaholic listed the address as 4093 Marietta Street in Powder Springs, and Reality TV Updates specified 4093 Marietta Street, Suite C, in the same city. Google Places records for this location, under the original name Havana Haven, still show the business as operational, but that listing has not been updated to reflect the closure reported by both recap outlets, and no current website or active social media presence could be found for either Havana Haven or Bimini Bay Island Bar & Grille. Powder Springs is a suburb west of Atlanta in Cobb County, and the original pitch, according to The Cinemaholic, was for residents to treat the lounge as a closer alternative to driving into the city for nightlife.
