Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives visited Loaf for chef Kale Carmon's global-inspired menu, which blends Memphis and Mid-South cooking with recipes drawn from the city's immigrant communities, in the episode "Great Taste, Surprising Place" (aired 2024-01-26). According to AOL.com, Carmon began serving the food in 2021 from a trailer parked at First Congregational Church in Memphis's Cooper-Young neighborhood, then moved the concept into a brick-and-mortar space inside the Memphis Brooks Museum of Art in January 2023. Loaf's own website continued to list Wednesday-through-Saturday hours but carried no content newer than a December 2022 archive entry.
