Charleston City Paper reported on 2017-04-18 that Perfectly Frank's had closed, and the Post and Courier separately reported the closing around the same time. According to the Charleston City Paper, damage from Hurricane Matthew and other storms, along with unpaid rent, contributed to the closure; owner Perry Cuda had put the business up for sale in 2014. A Google Places record checked across the show had matched the shop's name to an unrelated business in Norfolk, Virginia, which was corrected using the confirmed Summerville street address via a Census Bureau geocode lookup.
