Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives stopped at Roberto's Mexican Food, a gas-station taqueria in Phoenix, for its homemade green chile sauce and chimichanga-style burritos during the 'Like Mama Made' episode. The counter-service restaurant operated out of a Union Hills Drive gas station and built a following for scratch-made salsas. The Union Hills location later closed, and the owner relocated the business to a shopping center in Anthem, AZ under a new name, Tortas Chano, according to the fan site FlavortownUSA. A Yelp listing updated 2026-06 shows Tortas Chano itself permanently closed at 39510 N Daisy Mountain Drive, ending the run of the business that began as Roberto's Mexican Food. Roberto's first opened inside the Union Hills gas station in the 1990s, according to Food Network's restaurant profile of the business.
