Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, Season 27 Longmont, Colorado

Current status

Closed

As of October 2026, Samples Restaurant has closed — confirmed via Yelp, July 2026.

What the source shows: A Yelp listing (checked 2026-09-08) is tagged 'CLOSED - Updated July 2026' for Samples at 370 Main St, and the restaurant's own domain returned no response (an SSL handshake error) on the same date; the Google Places match originally supplied for this record was for an unrelated business. What happened after Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives?

Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives visited Samples in Longmont on the Jan. 5, 2018 episode 'Poutine, Pizza and Pork,' spotlighting the restaurant's from-scratch comfort food and its craft beer and cocktail list. Samples opened in 2015 as a New American bistro on Main Street in downtown Longmont, built around scratch-made plates such as a poutine burger and a Korean rib sandwich, plus weekly live music and a catering program. A Yelp business page updated in July 2026 marks Samples as permanently closed, and the restaurant's own website, sampleslongmont.com, would not load when checked on 2026-09-08, returning a connection error rather than any page content.

No dated news account of a closure was found, so the circumstances and exact closing date are not established here. The Main Street address and phone number on file are the ones long associated with Samples' original storefront, and remain the best current identifiers for the location.
