What happened after Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives?
On Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives' 'Servin' Up San Francisco' episode (aired 2013-09-09), Guy Fieri visited The Front Porch, a Southern comfort-food restaurant in San Francisco, sampling dishes such as fried chicken, shrimp and grits, gumbo, and chicken and waffles. According to the restaurant's own website, Josey White and Kevin Cline, friends from the neighborhood, launched The Front Porch in 2006. A site check on 2026-09-08 found thefrontporchsf.com still online but displaying 2023-dated copyright and page content, which alone would not confirm current operation. However, Yelp's listing for the restaurant, updated July 2026, lists current weekly hours and continues to add reviews and photos at 65 29th Street, and OpenTable's 2026-updated page likewise lists the restaurant as bookable at that address. Between the two independently and recently updated third-party listings, The Front Porch appears to still be operating under its original name and ownership at its original address.
