What happened after Best Thing I Ever Ate?
Gino's East in Chicago appeared on Best Thing I Ever Ate's 'Pizza' episode, where chef Duff Goldman highlighted a deep-dish pan pizza topped with a full disk of sausage beneath its cheese and tomato sauce layers, according to Foodiepie's episode catalog. Gino's East is a Chicago-based deep-dish pizza chain founded in 1966 by two cab drivers who opened the original location, according to Wikipedia (revised 2026-08-07). According to the restaurant's own website, checked on 2026-09-08, Gino's East listed active locations on the Magnificent Mile and in the South Loop in Chicago, plus locations in Los Angeles, Wheaton, and Singapore. The same site advertised frozen pizza sold in grocery stores, a pizza-shipping service, and delivery and pickup ordering, per ginoseast.com. The site's 'Deep Thoughts' blog and its loyalty and gift-card program pages were also live at the same check.
