What happened after Restaurant Takeover?

Lucy's Seafood, in a unit at 6905 Millcreek Drive in Mississauga, was the seventh episode of Restaurant Takeover (Food Network Canada) season two, aired on 2013-10-09. According to TVmaze's episode page, the restaurant had a cartoon mural and picnic-style tablecloths that gave it a casual, family-friendly feel. Owner Len had noticed young professionals eating at the big-box restaurants nearby and was convinced he needed to overhaul the entire restaurant to attract that more stylish crowd. The episode asks whether chef Andrea Nicholson and designer Cherie Stinson could help Len stand out from the competition, and the synopsis raises the question of when keeping up with the times starts to look like trying too hard.

TV Guide's season-two listing names the restaurant Lucy's Seafood Kitchen in Mississauga, Ontario. The Mississauga LocalWiki lists Lucy's Seafood Kitchen at 6905 Millcreek Drive, Unit 8, with a phone number and website; that page is undated and does not mention the show. An OpenTable page for Lucy's Seafood Kitchen gives the same address, lunch and dinner hours, and reviews written between February and June 2015, the latest dated 2015-06-04. It says the restaurant is not bookable through OpenTable and gives a catering contact, and its unit number, 8, matches the LocalWiki page. None of these pages describes what the makeover changed, a new menu, or a relaunch.

The restaurant's website address, as listed on LocalWiki, showed an online piano-lessons site rather than a seafood restaurant when it was checked on 2026-10-19, so it is not used as a source. No news story, owner statement, 2026 listing or recent customer review turned up in the checks made for this entry, and nothing read shows whether the restaurant is operating today. The OpenTable reviews are the most recent dated material found for it, and they are more than a decade old.

A Google Maps listing checked 2026-10-20 marks Lucys Sea Cove & Oyster Bar at 6905 Millcreek Drive, unit 7, in Mississauga as permanently closed; the listing carries about 245 reviews, and the newest shown is dated June 5, 2018. According to a second Google Maps listing checked the same day, Karahi Point, a Pakistani restaurant, now operates in unit 7, with reviews dated through August 2026. No source read ties the Sea Cove name to the show, but it is the only Lucy's seafood restaurant listed at that plaza.
