What happened after Food Paradise?

On Food Paradise's "Pork Paradise" episode (Travel Channel, aired 2013), Nick's Kitchen showcased its hand-breaded pork tenderloin sandwich, made from tenderized pork loin soaked in buttermilk, coated in cracker crumbs, and fried before being served on a bun. Nick's Kitchen is a diner on North Jefferson Street in Huntington, Indiana, credited by local historians with selling the first breaded pork tenderloin sandwich from a cart in 1904 before opening the restaurant in 1908. According to the Huntington County Visitors Bureau, the diner remains a stop on the county's tenderloin trail. Yelp's listing for Nick's Kitchen, updated July 2026, shows an active restaurant page with customer reviews rather than a permanently-closed marker, indicating the diner continues to serve its signature sandwich at the same Jefferson Street location.
