What happened after Food Paradise?
On Food Paradise's "Pork Paradise" episode (Travel Channel, aired 2013), the Ox Yoke Inn showcased its Old World German-style pork dishes, part of the Amana Colonies' communal-kitchen cooking tradition. The Ox Yoke Inn is a restaurant in the Amana Colonies, a National Historic Landmark district in eastern Iowa settled by German immigrants in the 1850s. According to the restaurant's own site, the Leichti family has run the business across five generations, serving recipes passed down from mother to daughter. On 2026-09-08 the Ox Yoke Inn's website listed a 2026 copyright date and an active online ordering system for menu items, along with banquet and group-tour services and a loyalty and eClub program. The site also directs larger parties of eleven or more to call ahead for reservations, at the same 220th Trail address in Amana.
