What happened after Food Paradise?

On Food Paradise's "Pork Paradise" episode (Travel Channel, aired 2013), the Smithfield Inn showcased its cured Smithfield country ham, the specialty of the Virginia town known for the product. The Smithfield Inn is a historic restaurant, tavern, and bed-and-breakfast on Main Street in downtown Smithfield, where, according to the inn's own site, George Washington once stayed. Smithfield, Virginia, is widely known nationally for its dry-cured country hams, the product for which the town takes its identity. The inn's site also promotes Garden House rooms and suites for overnight stays alongside the restaurant and tavern. On 2026-09-08 the inn's website listed dinner and lunch hours Tuesday through Saturday, noted it is closed Sunday and Monday, and directed guests to Facebook for specials, with a 2026 copyright date on the page.
