What happened after Food Paradise?

On Food Paradise's "Pork Paradise" episode (Travel Channel, aired 2013), the Ali'i Luau at the Polynesian Cultural Center showcased kalua pig, the whole hog traditionally cooked in an underground imu oven at Hawaiian luaus. The Polynesian Cultural Center is a cultural attraction and living museum in Laie, on Oahu's North Shore, that stages the Ali'i Luau as part of its dinner-and-show offerings. According to Wikipedia, the center is owned by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, was dedicated in 1963, and sits on land belonging to Brigham Young University-Hawaii, whose students make up about seventy percent of its roughly 1,300 employees. On 2026-09-08 the center's website displayed a same-day open notice referencing that date, alongside active links to book luau and show tickets, at the same Kamehameha Highway address.
