Is Pierce's Pitt Bar-B-Que Still Open? Food Paradise Update

Food Paradise, Season 9 Williamsburg, Virginia

Current status

Open

As of October 2026, Pierce's Pitt Bar-B-Que is listed open on Yelp, reviewed by our team on September 21, 2026; not yet independently confirmed through direct contact.

What the source shows: Re-checked 2026-09-21: unable to independently reach a fresh source (business-site domain guesses did not resolve, and the existing Yelp listing is not renderable via automated fetch); no signal of closure or change was found, so the prior August 2026 Yelp-based open status is retained unchanged. What happened after Food Paradise?

The episode featured Pierce's Pitt Bar-B-Que's hand-chopped, pit-smoked pulled pork, a specialty the restaurant has served in the Williamsburg area since 1971. Pierce's Pitt is a barbecue restaurant at 447 E. Rochambeau Drive in Williamsburg, Virginia, near the area's historic and tourism district. According to Yelp, the listing for that address was updated in August 2026 with more than 1,000 accumulated reviews and current daily hours of 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. The Williamsburg Tourism Council's own visitor listing continues to include Pierce's Pitt among area dining options.

The restaurant's own website lists a full barbecue menu, catering services, and a retail line of bottled barbecue sauce and rubs sold on-site and by mail. A 2022 copyright notice remains on the website template, though the more recently updated Yelp listing is the stronger indicator of current activity at the address.
