What happened after Food Paradise?
The episode showcased Chicago-style deep-dish pizza at the original Pizzeria Uno, credited with popularizing the dish since restaurateur Ike Sewell opened the location in 1943, according to Wikipedia's Uno Pizzeria & Grill entry (revised 2026-09-01). The Ohio Street building remains the flagship of what is now a franchised chain operating under the Uno Pizzeria & Grill name. A Google Places listing checked on 2026-09-08 recorded the Ohio Street address as operational, and the location's own website, live the same day, still branded the flagship as Pizzeria Uno and Due. Wikipedia's account traces the chain's evolution from the single Pizzeria Uno storefront into a multi-state restaurant group, noting the original recipe combined Italian ingredients into a deep-dish format that became the restaurant's signature.
