What happened after Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives?
Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives featured Q-Shi in the episode "Not Your Typical Joints," which aired 2017-03-24, spotlighting the restaurant's fusion menu of barbecue and sushi. According to Community Impact (2017-03-23), Q-Shi BBQ & Sushi was a Spring, Texas restaurant owned by Ray Aker that had opened the previous summer at 1491 Spring Cypress Rd before being selected for a Food Network visit from Guy Fieri, who filmed the segment on site. Google Places lists the business, now shown as MyQshi at 3422 Farm to Market 2920 in Spring, as permanently closed, and its website, myqshi.com, returned no response during a check on 2026-09-08. The official Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives locations website also lists Q-Shi BBQ & Sushi as closed, without giving a specific closure date.
