What happened after Food Paradise?

Food Paradise featured Slater's 50/50, spotlighting the restaurant's signature 50/50 Burger, a patty made of half ground bacon and half ground beef and served with a fried egg, avocado mash, pepper jack cheese, and chipotle-adobo mayo, according to Wikipedia's entry on the dish, revised 2026-01-14. Wikipedia's account also notes the restaurant has offered a kangaroo burger made of half kangaroo meat and half bacon. The Pasadena location operated at 61 N Raymond Ave under the Slater's 50/50 brand founded by Scott Slater. Google Places marks the Pasadena address as permanently closed, and a check of the chain's own website on 2026-09-08 found its current list of open locations -- Fresno, San Diego, Torrance, Denver, Silverado Ranch, and Lake Mead -- no longer includes Pasadena, consistent with the closure.
