What happened after Best Thing I Ever Ate?

The Bacon Truck built its menu around bacon-forward sandwiches, the classic B.L.T. and a B.L.A.T. variant with avocado and Fresno aioli, plus bacon added to items like the cubano, using thick-cut, applewood-smoked bacon from Blackstone St. Smokehouse in South Boston. Sam Williams and JJ Frosk started the business as a mobile truck about two years out of college, according to the company's own site, thebacontruckbos.com. The operation is now based from a fixed address at 50 Terminal Street in Charlestown, where the site describes a Bacon Truck Cafe offering takeout, patio dining, and delivery.

As of the site's current content, the cafe lists new store hours of Thursday through Sunday, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., and the site states it is still working out the kinks in its new operation while it expands hours. Separately, a Yelp listing for the same Charlestown address was tagged closed and last updated in February 2026, a discrepancy noted here rather than resolved.
