On Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives (S26 Special, 'All Stacked Up,' aired 2017-03-10), Guy Fieri visited The Elegant Farmer, an upscale Southern farm-to-fork restaurant near the University of Memphis, for chef-owner Mac Edwards's old-fashioned salmon patties, pan-seared Mississippi catfish, and a mushroom bahn mi. The restaurant opened in a small space behind Wellford's Antiques on Highland in March 2011, according to StyleBlueprint. The Elegant Farmer's original location closed on 2017-07-28, according to Triple D Life. Edwards later reopened the concept nearby as The Farmer @ Railgarten on 2021-12-15, according to Memphis Magazine. A 2026-09-08 check found a Wanderlog listing sourced from Google Places lists The Farmer @ Railgarten as permanently closed, and its former website domain, thefarmer901.com, now shows unrelated third-party content with no reference to the restaurant.
