What Happened to Be More Pacific After Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives?

Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, Season 34 Houston, Texas Closed 2026

Current status

Closed

As of October 2026, Be More Pacific has closed — confirmed via houston.culturemap.com, March 31, 2026.

What the source shows: Multiple named outlets (Houston Chronicle, CultureMap, Hoodline, Chron, Yahoo) confirm Be More Pacific served its final meal March 31, 2026 and closed permanently after 14 years; the business's former own domain (bemorepacifickitchenandbar.com) now redirects to unrelated third-party e-commerce/gambling content rather than returning a 404, consistent with a lapsed domain post-closure. What happened after Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives?

Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives visited Be More Pacific for the episode 'Domestic & Abroad' (aired 2021-09-17), showcasing the kitchen and bar's Pacific Rim-inspired small plates and cocktail program. Be More Pacific operated as a restaurant and bar on Yale Street in Houston's Washington Avenue-area corridor. Google Places lists the business's status as permanently closed, a status this check confirmed on 2026-09-08, and the restaurant's former website, bemorepacifickitchenandbar.com, returned an HTTP 404 error the same day, indicating the domain is no longer maintained. No dated news coverage naming a specific closure date or reason was located during this check. No successor business or new tenant at the Yale Street address was identified, and no ownership change was reported by any source found.
