Oaklandside reported on May 8, 2026 that Clove & Hoof had gone dark, part of a wave of closures alongside nearby restaurants Oken and Casper's. A follow-up Oaklandside article published June 15, 2026 again listed Clove & Hoof among the city's May 2026 restaurant closures.
