What happened after Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives?

"Succulent Sandwiches" featured Food Fix Truck, a lunch food truck working the streets of downtown Modesto under chef Hank Olson and his wife Ashley Olson. The truck built a national following, later landing the No. 1 spot on a "101 Best Food Trucks in America" list and drawing visits from other Food Network personalities. The Olsons have since folded the truck concept into a fixed restaurant, Food Fix Butcher & Baker, at 938 11th St in Modesto, where they butcher meats and bake bread in-house.

A news article syndicated by AOL reported that the original road-going Food Fix Truck ceased operating after roughly a decade, while the downtown restaurant remained open and continued to run a food truck of its own. Yelp's listing for Food Fix Butcher & Baker at the same address was updated in June 2026, and the business's website now presents the Butcher & Baker branding rather than the original truck identity.
