What happened after Food Paradise?
In 'Late Night Paradise,' the show featured Cooter Brown's Tavern & Oyster Bar for its raw oysters and one of New Orleans's largest beer selections, served to a college-age late-night crowd near the Carrollton streetcar line. Cooter Brown's has operated as a 21-and-over tavern and oyster bar in the Riverbend neighborhood, a stretch some locals call the Black Pearl, since 1977. The business's own website, cooterbrowns.com, currently lists an oyster bar menu, a beer list, merchandise, gift cards, and an event-booking option, though no copyright year or other page date could be confirmed. Google's business listing separately shows the Carrollton Avenue address as operational, with no closure or relocation reported. The site's own copy also describes the bar as a longtime neighborhood institution near the Riverbend streetcar stop.

We work hard to keep every status accurate and dated, but restaurants change fast and our sources aren't perfect. If something here is wrong — a status, a name, an address, anything — tell us what you're seeing and where you saw it, and we'll check it.
