What happened after Food Paradise?

The 2012 episode "Bacon Paradise 2: Another Slab" featured Paddy Long's Beer & Bacon Pub, a Lincoln Park gastropub known for whole beer-can roasted chickens and bacon-laced dishes alongside an extensive craft beer list, and had built a loyal following among neighborhood beer drinkers. The pub operated for about fourteen years at 1028 W. Diversey Parkway in Chicago. According to Block Club Chicago, Paddy Long's closed and the space reopened in May 2021 as Max & Issy's Pizzeria, a New York-style pizzeria from the same ownership group. Max & Issy's has since closed too: Chicago YIMBY reported in May 2026 that a replacement building permit had been filed for the address, and Google Places lists Max & Issy's as permanently closed. The pizzeria's website was unreachable when checked on 2026-09-08.
