What happened after Food Paradise?

Whiffle's Fried Pies (properly Whiffies Fried Pies) was featured in "Food Truck Paradise" (S2E2), which highlighted sweet and savory fried hand pies, many of them vegan, sold from this cart at Portland's Cartopia pod. Whiffie's Pie Cart was one of Cartopia's founding vendors in the late 2000s, run by owner Gregg Abbott, and became a fixture of the pod's food-cart scene on SE Hawthorne Blvd. According to a Facebook post from the business, Whiffies Fried Pies closed effective immediately in February 2015. A current listing of Cartopia's food carts, checked 2026-09-08, does not include Whiffies Fried Pies among the pod's active vendors, consistent with the 2015 closure. Cartopia itself, at 1207 SE Hawthorne Blvd, remains an active pod with several other carts operating today. No indication of a relocation, reopening, or new ownership was found for the cart.
