What happened after Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives?

Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives visited this Stockton delicatessen for the 'Great Gear' episode, which aired 2016-06-17, spotlighting Gian's Italian sandwiches and deli case. Gian's Delicatessen has operated on the Miracle Mile stretch of Pacific Avenue in Stockton, known for homemade ravioli, Italian sandwiches, and imported Italian groceries, according to the Stockton Miracle Mile business directory. Yelp's page for the business, at 2112 Pacific Ave, carries hours and reviews updated 2026-06, listing Monday-through-Friday service from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday hours to 3 p.m. At our check on 2026-09-08, the deli's own site, giansdeli.com, returned an HTTP 500 server error rather than loading, though the Yelp listing showed no indication of a closure. No news coverage of a closure or ownership change was found in the sources checked.
