What happened after Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives?

Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives featured Islamorada Shrimp Shack for its shrimp fritters and a 'Senator'-style plate built around the day's fresh local catch, part of the seaside shack's focus on Florida Keys seafood. The segment aired as part of the 'Smoke and Seafood' episode on 2016-03-11. Guy Fieri discovered the restaurant in December 2015 and returned to film the segment the following spring, according to a Flavortown USA episode fan site. The business operates from the Overseas Highway in Islamorada, and a Google Places listing for that address shows its status as operational as of 2026-09-07. The restaurant's own website, islamoradashrimpshack.com, returned an access-blocked error rather than a page when checked directly on 2026-09-08, so it did not show current hours or a menu.
